Microsoft Auto training and product development services for Europe and USA. 02/03/2009
LONDON, UK, Redmond WA, – 2 March, 2009 - MPC Data, a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold Partner, announced today that it that has been selected as an official Microsoft Auto training partner under a new initiative launched by Microsoft.
Microsoft Auto is an industry leading platform specifically designed to enable in-vehicle infotainment experiences and connected services. Automotive manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers around the world, including Ford, Hyundai-Kia, and Fiat have recognized the benefits of Microsoft Auto in reducing product development risk and time to market, and delivering unique and innovative in-car experiences to consumers.

MPC Data’s expertise with Microsoft Auto is based on substantial Windows CE experience as well as from extensive work on real-world Microsoft Auto product development. They have worked closely with Microsoft to develop support for the Microsoft Auto platform on the Texas Instruments Jacinto 1 and Jacinto 2 reference hardware, including implementation of multi-zone audio and routing support, integration of DSP-based codecs, and performance optimisation. They have also worked with European tier-1 automotive suppliers to create Microsoft Auto based multimedia systems.

Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 BSP with full production codecs available for TI's DM355 ARM9 based Microprocessor 11/02/2009
LONDON, UK, Redmond WA, – 11 February, 2009
MPC Data, a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold Partner and TI Authorised Services Provider (ASP) today announced the immediate availability of a new Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 Board Support Package for TI TMS320DM355 ARM926EJ-S based multimedia microprocessor.
The BSP contains full production Codecs that work seamlessly with the Windows CE BSP running on the ARM core, using a custom Codec Engine developed by MPC Data.
This BSP and custom Codec Engine has been fully developed by MPC Data and targets the low cost TI DM355 EVM board. It supports many key features of the DM355 evaluation board, including the on-chip MPEG-4-JPEG co-processor (MJCP).
Binary evaluation versions and demonstration builds are available free of charge for customers to test and exercise the chip and BSP. The images can be loaded onto the EVM via a serial port and Ethernet without the use of a JTAG device. MPC Data provides the complete source code through a one-time, low cost, license fee without runtime royalties, for OEMs wishing to develop bespoke software for their own projects.
The DM355 processor consists of an integrated video processing subsystem, MPEG-4-JPEG co-processor (MJCP), ARM926EJ-S core and peripherals. The corresponding development tool, the DM355 Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM) will help developers quickly and easily create low-cost portable, digital video devices with HD D1 video capability.
The fully-featured BSP covers all customer applications. As well as the custom Codec Engine the BSP includes all the drivers for the peripherals integrated in the DM355 on the DVEVM including NAND Flash, SD/MMC, NDIS 5.1 Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART USB 2.0 Host, USB 2.0 Function and Display Controller as well as key features of the chip such as Advanced Power Management Framework and MJCP support.

MPC Data appointed as emtrion's Single Board Computer solution reseller for North America 19/11/2008
Redmond, WA– November 19, 2008 – MPC Data today announced that it has signed an agreement with Emtrion GmbH, appointing MPC Data as the North American reseller for emtrion’s range of industrial strength embedded Single Board Computer products and services. Under this agreement MPC Data will promote and support emtrion’s Single Board Computer products including Starter Kits, Processor Core Modules and Peripheral Modules, as well as offering custom software and hardware services.
emtrion produce a range of high quality, high reliability embedded products, including systems based on Renesas’ SH3 and SH4 RISC family. These are backed up with a portfolio of Starter kits supporting Microsoft Windows CE, QNX or Linux to enable OEMs to get products to market quickly with minimal risk and effort. MPC Data is a Windows Embedded Gold Partner, Embedded Linux Specialist and QNX Partner Network Member, and is able to offer OEMs full software and hardware solution services around the Emtrion products.
