To support the more stringent demands of a security installation, the standard firmware was enhanced to offer contingency by routing messages via the mobile/cellular phone network in the event of a failure within the more usual POTS service. In addition, we provided the ability to distribute alert messages via the SMS network in addition to the standard wide area paging facilities.
