Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 'Jumpstart' Consultancy 

Course Introduction:

MPC Data's 'Jumpstart' for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 offers a combination of training and consultancy delivered by MPC Data. MPC Data are a Microsoft-approved training company and Gold-level Windows Embedded Systems Integrator.

The 'Jumpstart' aims to provide companies with sufficient in-house expertise to design, buils and deploy Windows CE operating system images.

Course Content: Attendees will cover the following;

Days 1 to 3

• Operating System Overview
• Tools for Platform Development
• Operating System Internals
• Operating System Components
• The Build System
• The Board Support P{ackage
• Device Driver Concepts

Days 4 to 5

Topics covered in days 4 and 5 can be taylored to meet the individuals and companies needs for specific project requirements. In these two days any or all of the following topics can be covered:

• Project Management and Procedures
• Initial hardware bring-up
• Configuring, modifying and deploying EBOOT
• Modifying and debugging OAL
• Creating minimal CE Kernel
• Advanced development and debugging techniques
• Testing with Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Test Ket (CETK)

Prerequisites: This course is intended for those that have a basic understanding of the C programming language and embedded systems. Although not necessary it would be useful to have a knowledge of Win32 API programming and device driver development.

Duration: This is a 5 day training course

What you will need to do this course:

• Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 (Evaluation Toolkit)
• Adobe Acrobat Viewer
• Windows XP Professional SP3 or Windows Vista
• Minimum Pentium 4 2GHz CPU (the faster the better)
• Minimum 1GB RAM
• Minimum 20GB Hard Disk Space free (for Tools Installation)
• Network Adapter
• Site Facilities: Projector (native resolution of 1024x768 or better), Whiteboard, Internet Access for Instructor and Student PCs.

Course location: MPC Data can run this course at the location of your choice given that all requirements are met.
