Board Support Package

MPC Data is pleased to offer a complete Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 Board Support Package (BSP) for the new TMS320DM355 Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM), including a full range of quality drivers to enable a rapid start-up for your video image processing product.

Hardware Accelerated Video Support Using Codec Engine 'Lite' Framework

To complement the advanced MJCP hardware CODEC acceleration of the DM355 processor, MPC Data has developed a light-weight implementation of TI's Codec Engine framework which provides the standard VISA ( Video Imaging Speech Audio) API for user applications.

The BSP is provided with xDAIS compliant production JPEG and MPEG4* codecs supplied by Texas Instruments.  The DM355 EVM hardware and sample applications demonstrate video capture, encoding and subsequent decoding of PAL and NTSC  D1 (720x576i) composite video sources.

*The MPEG encode and decode codecs support MPEG4 Simple Profile (SP) only.
