MPC Data have been actively working with Microsoft Auto since 2007, when we ported the Microsoft Auto PDK to the Texas Instruments Jacinto I reference platform. The port was based on a Windows CE 6.0 BSP developed by MPC Data, and included implementation of WAVEDEV extensions for multi-zone audio and routing support. MPC Data also developed a set of DirectX Media Objects to integrate the DSP based audio codecs available on the TI platform into the Microsoft Auto media core.
Throughout the development MPC Data worked closely with the Microsoft Auto team, including a period of on-site integration, to develop and test the BSP features and ensure optimum system performance
Since then we have successfully ported the Microsoft Auto PDK to the second generation Jacinto II reference platform. Our in-depth knowledge of the Jacinto II device enabled us to produce a highly optimised Microsoft Auto BSP for this very cost-effective platform: the bootloader and OS image were both configured and optimised to work within the reduced resources available on the Jacinto II EVM. The Microsoft Auto media core and Bluetooth functionality were integrated via the on-chip DSP and tested using the Microsoft Auto sample applications and tools.
With in-depth experience on all of the major Microsoft Auto development platforms (TI Jacinto, Freescale i.MX, Renesas SH4, and Intel Atom) we can help you deliver your next IVI system more efficiently.
