Prerequisites:

This course is intended for delegates that have a reasonable proficiency in the use of Windows XP or Windows 7 desktop systems through setup and or administration. Although not necessary it would be useful to have a knowledge of Embedded Systems and their uses.

The JumpStart package is designed to bring your development team up to speed with Windows Embedded Standard technologies in the shortest time whilst helping your company solve implementation challenges.

A suggested agenda for Jumpstart is shown below however our Consultant Engineer will discuss your exact requirements prior to the sessions and tailor content to meet your needs:

Session 1 (1-3 days duration)

Session 2 (2-4 days duration)

The first session will be taken up by formal Windows Embedded Standard training following the Microsoft Official Curriculum.

Attendees will construct, customise and test simple Windows Embedded Standard operating system images using the Microsoft design tools
Advanced componentisation techniques will be demonstrated and applied to solve complex dependency and runtime configuration problems that can occur when adding 3rd Party drivers and applications to custom embedded builds.

The second session of JumpStart will focus on applying the analysis and build techniques and procedures to develop prototype custom OS builds on your target hardware:

Advice and assistance will be available to enable you to apply specific Embedded Enabling Features (EEF), customisation techniques and image deployment solutions for your custom builds
