MPC Data has a long a history of embedded development projects in which we have worked with our client from the early prototype stage to the point where the product could be successfully launched into the marketplace.

We have particular skills in developing feature-rich specifications into devices which have limited memory space and other constraints, while at the same time achieving all desired real-time performance goals. These skills have been learnt while working with a wide variety of processor architectures ranging from 8-bit to the latest 32-bit.

  • Various digital television products based on Motorola and NEC 32-bit
  • Mobile text phone for deaf users based on customised Nokia 9210 and Symbian Epoc O/S
  • SNMP Agent for use within an Environmental Monitoring System, based on an i386 single board computer
  • 4-channel portable data logger for schools based on PIC 17C
  • Radio/infra-red pager-like device for use in theme parks by visitors in order to minimise the time spent queuing for attractions
  • Supermarket chilled food temperature alarm/logger
  • Multi-channel intruder alarm system
