The Board Support Package allows you to focus on your application development and get your product to market (and hence revenue) faster.

Aimed primarily at Texas Instruments’ Davinci, Sitara & OMAP families, you will see that MPC Data have a range of products to suit the ARM9 and Cortex-A8 cores and hence provide a number of Windows Embedded CE BSPs to support the various development platforms that customers are starting their designs on.

We are all witnessing the trend in Embedded designs moving to more powerful processor solutions and the need to move to High Level Operating Systems (HLOS), part of this trend also requires a stable, high quality BSP which enables the programmer to exploit the full range of the development board’s capabilities. The BSP provides the foundation for the overlying HLOS, and helps to ensure its overall speed and reliability.

The session will be based on the low cost open community driven Beagleboard-XM utilising Texas Instruments’ 1GHz Super Scalar ARM Cortex-A8 based OMAP processor.
We will walk you through Silverlight for Windows Embedded, and OpenGL accelerated graphics, as well as the toolsets for building your own system.

You will have an opportunity to experience the latest offering from Microsoft and discuss your application and system needs with our engineers.

We will also be showing the latest Board Support Package roadmap featuring WinCE 6 BSPs and ensure you understand how you can migrate from WinCE 6 to future products.

Meet MPC Data at the Renesas DevCon 2010

MPC Data will be presenting and exhibiting at the Renesas Developer Conference (DevCon) taking place at the Hyatt Regency, Orange County, CA, during October 11-14 (Monday-Thursday)

We will be presenting a technical lab looking at how to get Linux to boot to a QT application on an SH7724 in around 1 second, by applying MPC Data’s swiftBoot process. We will have a demonstration that shows what can be achieved using the process, and we can discuss how this could be applied to other SH based solutions. This will be shown on the Renesas EDOSK7724 board booting to a QT application and camera display.

We will also be exhibiting a range of our latest innovative Renesas projects, products and services including:

SH7264 MediaSDK demonstration. MediaSDK is a framework of multimedia software components aimed at OEMs and ODMs that want to use the SH7264 in devices requiring a compelling user interfaces that feature media content and extensive connectivity. It will appeal to clients making industrial HMIs, smart white goods, Consumer audio devices and Measurement & sequencing equipment.
Renesas’ new low cost RPBRX62N Promotional Board, based around the RX62N family. The device is specifically targeted at building automation, factory automation and industrial control, where OEMs need connectivity. We will be showing a range of demonstration software showing the great performance of Renesas’ new architecture.
