MPC Data Inc expands their US operation 02/02/2010

MPC Data Inc will open the doors to their new US headquarters in Redmond, Washington at the start of February 2010. “Although we already have a presence in the area, the opening of our new office will enable us to significantly expand our engineering team to support our rapidly growing market share here in the US” said Frank Breeze, Chief Operating Officer of MPC Data Inc.

The new office, located on the very edge of the Microsoft technology campus in Redmond, will enable even closer collaboration with Microsoft business teams and cement MPC Data’s position as one of the leading Windows Embedded Gold Partners in the North American market. “Our new office will help us better serve our current and future customers. This 10 fold increase in floor space will not only allow us to expand our US workforce but also enable us to provide a dedicated training suite as well as extensive test labs and conference facilities” continued Breeze.

MPC Data Inc has grown by more than 300% since its establishment at the end of 2008 and is looking to increase its growth by a similar amount during 2010.

Datalight releases FlashFX 'Tera' Intelligent Flash Media Manager with Support for SLC and MLC NAND 02/07/2009

The latest release of the Datalight FlashFX 'Tera' flash device management software brings support for the latest Multi Level Cell (MLC) based NAND flash devices. The combination of flash device management and the latest Datalight high reliability Reliance 'Nitro' flash file systems bring industrial grade protection of your embedded device's data.

FlashFX Tera is a flash management solution that frees developers from the volatility and constraints of single-source flash memory software. Versatility allows fast integration with over 300 flash chip part numbers. Dynamic chip select provides run-time flexibility of using just one driver image, saving money and lowering supply-line risks during production. Pre-written support includes SLC and MLC NAND and NOR parts from top manufacturers (Intel, Micron, Samsung, Toshiba, Numonyx and Spansion), fusion flash (such as Samsung OneNAND, FlexOneNAND or Spansion OrNAND), and application processor flash controllers (like Freescale MX and Texas Instruments OMAP). Our high performance, multi-threaded flash drivers provide superior wear-leveling, bad block management, garbage collection and fast read/write speeds.
