MPC Data is pleased to announce that they will be presenting at the NMI "Debugging Embedded is hard" networking event at ARM headquarters in Cambridge on 24th June 2008.
Peter Griffin of the Embedded Linux Group will be presenting a case study on the CR16C+ architecture port to the uClinux kernel and tools. The presentation will focus on the main kernel areas which needed porting, the difficulties encountered and debugging techniques used to overcome them.
MPC Data Limited and SiTel Semiconductor BV have announced a partnership for the support and development services for a µCLinux Board Support Package (BSP) for the SiTel Semiconductor SC14450 VoIP baseband processor based on a 16-bit National Semiconductor CR16C+ CompactRISCTM core. The µCLinux BSP was developed by MPC Data for SiTel Semiconductor BV to complement the recent release of the SiTel Enterprise VoIP Development Kit and ‘450 chipset specifically targeted at DECT cordless handsets, VoIP desktop phones and Analog Telephony Adaptor (ATA) markets.
