Microsoft Embedded business goes from Strength to Strength 30/11/2005

Following significant investment in its Windows Embedded resources along with the success in gaining the prestigious Microsoft Embedded Gold Partner status 18 months ago, MPC Data has seen an increase in its Microsoft related business of over 60%.

Steve Harper, MPC Data's CEO states "Our long term commitment to the Microsoft Embedded product line is now producing revenue growth considerably in excess of our original expectations. This along with some of the new and exciting developments in their embedded product strategy has convinced me to increase still further, our level of investment in the Microsoft Embedded related services."

MPC Data provides both Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded related development services to a world wide customer base.

MPC Data supports local Opportunity Centre 13/09/2005

Senior management of MPC Data took to their bikes last weekend and cycled from Bradford on Avon to London. A very respectable 130 miles was covered raising a grand total of over £1000.00. BCS Award 07/09/2005

Chris Peerman of MPC Data was a recent winner of a BCS award for his project Canvas Studio.

Canvas Studio is an open-source Java framework which provides a simple digital imaging application for the Eclipse IDE. Canvas Studio features a plug-in architecture which allows 3rd party developers to extend the functional diversity of the application. Core features of Canvas Studio include:
  • Many of the core features found within popular applications such as Photoshop and The GIMP such as layered images, opacity, blending modes, texture and filter support.
  • A tools framework that allows 3rd party developers to develop brush tools such as Paint Brush, Airbrush, shapes and selections.
  • Import/Export framework that allows 3rd party developers to import/export images from many different image file formats.
Thanks to the Eclipse RCP and Java technology, Canvas Studio will run on almost any platform supporting Java and the Eclipse runtime.
