MPC Data Limited today announces the launch of its brand new web site.
The new website is an important step forward in the way MPC Data provides its customers and prospects with the information they need to make the right decision about its suppliers.
In addition to detailed information about the services offered, the target markets and solutions, the new site is intended to provide a unique insight into the culture of the company.
MPC Data Limited, the Bradford on Avon based computer software solution providers, have won a major contract with the worlds leading supplier of automated test equipment, Teradyne Inc.
The contract, which is to develop an interface between Teradyne's 4Tel test suite and a range of third party applications, is worth approx £170,000. This is the initial phase of a project, which will have a value in excess of £500,000. Following delivery, it is hoped that this development will be supplied to many of the worlds leading telecommunications companies.
"Winning this competition is one of the most significant victories in MPC Data's history, and as we complete the various phases of the project we look forward to undertaking additional developments as part of the overall project" said Steve Harper, MPC Data's Managing Director.
Founded in 1984, MPC Data Limited has grown to become one of the UK's leading suppliers of bespoke software solutions.
MPC Data Limited has recently been selected by Texas Instruments Incorporated to become an OMAP Technology Center (OTC) for its range of OMAP devices. OMAP is TI's leading edge technology, which combine both an ARM core and DSP on a single chip.
MPC Data is one of only two OTC's in the UK and one of only six in Europe. The key reasons for TI's selection of MPC Data was its:
• Systems integration expertise.
• Operating system support for Microsoft® Windows® CE, Symbian OS™, Linux®, Palm OS®, and other familiar high-level operating systems.
• OMAP technology development training.
Steve Harper, MPC Data's Managing Director says "The use of MPC Data will enable both manufacturers and application developers to significantly reduces their time to market".
After 17 years of dedicated service to MPC Data, Mike Coombs, the Managing Director and founder of the company retired at the end of March 2002.
During the time under Mike's control, MPC Data has grown to become one of the UK's leading providers of bespoke software solutions. His contributions will long be remembered on a whole variety of projects ranging from software design and coding through to full-blown project management.
Mike established the company in 1984 along with Steve Harper and Alan Rowe both of whom joined from Cifer Systems Limited where they held senior management positions within the software division. Steve now takes over the role of MPC Data's Managing Director.
