QNX selects MPC Data 13/08/2004

MPC Data Limited has been selected by QNX Software Systems to join its partner network where we will focus on providing systems Integration services to QNX clients worldwide.

MPC Data to present at Texas Instruments European Developers Conference 12/08/2004

To emphasize its position as Europe's number one Catalog OTC (OMAP Technology Centre), MPC Data will be both presenting and exhibiting at Texas Instruments European Developers Conference in November. This will be the first time that OMAP has featured at a European based event and as such, is expected to be one of the most popular streams at the conference.

MPC Data's James Cope and Frank Breeze will be presenting a session which explores the range of operating systems available on the OMAP platform and looks at how these may be implemented. We will also have our OMAP Linux concept demonstrator running on an Innovator platform, available on our stand.

MPC Data at MASS-04 11/08/2004

MPC Data will be joined by other leading embedded solution suppliers at MASS-04 - the Microsoft and ARM Solutions Show.

MASS-04 will show-case the latest version of the Windows CE Operating System (Windows CE 5.0), along with the Service Pack 2 release of Windows XP Embedded. This event is a great oportunity to find out more about both of these products, and have an opportunity to talk to the Microsoft Embedded Team and MPC Data's own Windows Embedded product experts.

Texas Instruments puts its trust in MPC Data 19/07/2004

As one of Texas Instruments leading European OMAP Technology Centres and one of only two MontaVista Premier Professional Services Partner, MPC Data were ideally placed to undertake development of a MontaVista Linux support package (LSP) for one of TI's latest mobile phone reference platforms.

This recently completed project provides a fully featured operating platform for the Texas Instrument's Persius 2 (P2) mobile phone reference design. MPC Data's brief was to port MontaVista's OMAP1610 LSP to the OMAP730 processor, supporting the various peripherals available on the P2 hardware with dynamic power management.
The key factor in this successful project was to delivery a good level of stability and this was addressed by adapting The Linux Test Project to guarantee stable kernel operation coupled with an automated driver test suite to assure correct operation of peripherals.
