MPC Data expands into South Africa 11/01/2005

MPC Data, Microsoft and Intel have recently delivered a number of highly successful events to the South African embedded community. These events, which were held in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, were intended to explain to South African organisations involved in embedded product development, how our three companies working in partnership, can assist them in delivering high quality, cost effective products to their ever expanding market place.

Following these events, we have already seen a number of business opportunities. Two of these have resulted in our engineers working on site in South Africa, most notably for J D Group, South Africa's leading furniture retailer.

It is our intention to further develop our involvement in the South African market via collaboration with local distributors such as Avnet Kopp and a possible local presence at some time in the future.

MPC Data RoadShows 2003 09/05/2003

Following some very positive feedback from MPC Data's Update Event last October we staged two further events early in June. This years events focused on how IT organisations can limit the costs of software development yet still deliver world class products. The events sessions were presented by clients, partners and MPC Data personnel. These technical sessions focused on how MPC Data has delivered successful projects to satisfied customers by maximising their software development investment:

• Using open source components to access enterprise applications via the web

• Reaching new markets by deploying the same application over many platforms

• Choosing the correct embedded platform to cut time to market
