MPC Data have enjoyed a long association with University of the West of England, offering sandwich year placements to students which often result in successful careers with MPC Data. Many of our employees are ex-students and will be attending the event. Managing Director Steve Harper, who will be giving a talk on Friday, said: "From our first student appointment 10 years ago, we have worked closely with Computing and real-time Systems Course Leaders not only as an employer but also by providing suggestions for module content, helping to build a mutually beneficial relationship."

Free Windows Embedded Standard 7 hands-on training

MPC Data, in conjunction with Arrow Electronics, are running a free Windows Embedded Standard 7 workshop on 3rd June. This is a great opportunity to get an early look at the new development tools for Windows Embedded Standard 7, and gain hands-on experience of using the tools to generate an operating system image.

This introductory workshop will give you an overview of the new tools, as well as the various ways of building, customising, and deploying images. The hands-on element will give you the confidence to begin creating your own custom images.
