MPC Data and Avnet Embedded are pleased to announce the Embedded Solutions Seminar UK at Microsoft's Thames Valley Park location in Reading. Following two previously successful years, this free to attend seminar is aimed at embedded engineers and developers looking to expand their knowledge in the embedded marketplace.

MPC Data will be running hands-on Windows Embedded Compact 7 workshops at the seminar. This is a great opportunity to experience at first hand the next version of Microsoft's real-time embedded operating system (currently named Windows Embedded CE). Windows Embedded Compact 7 will be officially launched in the first quarter of next year, so book early to be one of the first to find out about this exciting new technology from Microsoft.

Attendees will also benefit from a series of exclusive presentations from key industry companies including Microsoft, Intel, Kontron and MPC Data, along with product demonstrations and case studies. With a packed exhibition area, a whole host of embedded technologies will be on display including 3D Digital Signage, the latest wireless solutions, industrial, POS, kiosk printers and many more examples from within the embedded marketplace.

The Board Support Package allows you to focus on your application development and get your product to market (and hence revenue) faster.

Aimed primarily at Texas Instruments’ Davinci, Sitara & OMAP families, you will see that MPC Data have a range of products to suit the ARM9 and Cortex-A8 cores and hence provide a number of Windows Embedded CE BSPs to support the various development platforms that customers are starting their designs on.

We are all witnessing the trend in Embedded designs moving to more powerful processor solutions and the need to move to High Level Operating Systems (HLOS), part of this trend also requires a stable, high quality BSP which enables the programmer to exploit the full range of the development board’s capabilities. The BSP provides the foundation for the overlying HLOS, and helps to ensure its overall speed and reliability.

Visit MPC Data’s Windows Embedded Group at Embedded Live!, 19-21 October, Earls Court UK 14/10/2010

MPC Data the award winning Microsoft Gold Partner will be holding a live hands-on session aimed at updating a technical audience on the latest Windows Embedded technologies.

Run by experienced Microsoft Trainers MPC Data will present a FREE “Build Your Own Embedded System” on the BeagleBoard-xM on Thursday 21st, using the pre-release of Windows Embedded Compact 7, Microsoft’s next generation real time, small footprint, componentised OS.

This class is free to attend and is available to all registered attendees, including Free Exhibition Pass holders.

The session will be based on the low cost open community driven Beagleboard-XM utilising Texas Instruments’ 1GHz Super Scalar ARM Cortex-A8 based OMAP processor.
We will walk you through Silverlight for Windows Embedded, and OpenGL accelerated graphics, as well as the toolsets for building your own system.

You will have an opportunity to experience the latest offering from Microsoft and discuss your application and system needs with our engineers.

We will also be showing the latest Board Support Package roadmap featuring WinCE 6 BSPs and ensure you understand how you can migrate from WinCE 6 to future products.

We will be hosting an experts panel with silicon and OS experts which is a 'must visit' whilst at the show or talk to our experts on the Microsoft Stand #150.
