Microsoft Windows Embedded Training - UK Course Dates

MPC Data in collaboration with Arrow Electronics announce the first in a series of UK training courses. The first 3 day public course - Building Embedded Devices with Windows Embedded Standard 2009 (Microsoft Course - 50254) - will be held in the Swindon area near M4, J16 - 16-18th March 2010. Advantech DSA-3020

This course sponsored by Arrow is a three-day seminar delivered by MPC Data, Microsoft Gold Level Partners and Partner Excellence Award winners 2008 & 2009 and includes includes Advantech hardware and WES 2009 tools for each delegate.

This Microsoft Official Curriculum training will be presented by a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) with Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) accreditation and provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the operations required to produce Windows Embedded Standard solutions.

This training is ideal for engineers working towards the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Developing for Windows Embedded Standard qualification, (Microsoft exam 70-577)

MPC Data at Embedded World 2010

MPC Data will be exhibiting at Embedded World 2010 in Nuremberg from 2^nd – 4^th March, where you will find us on the Microsoft stand in Hall 11.0, Stand no. 11-226. We will be exhibiting a range of our latest innovative projects including:

The latest release of our Windows Embedded CE 6r3 board support package for the Texas Instruments DM355 DaVinci Evaluation Module (DVEVM). We will also be showing our “Barnacle Board” TFT display and touch-screen add-on for the DM355 DVEVM, and demonstrating Microsoft’s embedded SilverLight technology running on this low-cost processing platform.
A Smart Building proof-of-concept running under Windows Embedded Standard on a very small form-factor Intel Atom platform. Off-the-shelf Zigbee modules are used for communication with remote sensors and actuators, leading to a very robust but low-cost design. Wide area communication is via GPS or GPRS for secure remote control and alarm reporting.
Microsoft Auto running on a Texas Instruments Jacinto 2 reference board. The Jacinto 2 is specifically targeted at in-car infotainment devices, and in combination with Microsoft Auto it offers a low-cost, feature-rich platform for automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

Visitors to the show will also be able to see another of MPC Data’s Windows Embedded CE reference BSPs on the Texas Instruments stand in Hall 12 (Stand 12-436). This new reference BSP brings Windows CE to the latest generation of OMAP silicon from TI, for a world-beating combination of low power consumption, low cost, and rich operating system support.
