With the latest V1.1 release of the Windows CE 6.0R3 BSP for the Beagleboard, MPC Data includes additional tools, documentation and configurable support for both 128MB and 256MB hardware revisions. MPC Data have also announced roadmap support for Windows Embedded Compact 7 on the same platform with the offer of a free upgrade to the Compact 7 BSP for existing customers when released.
The processing power offered by the OMAP3 processor on the Beagleboard, with its 600/720MHz ARM Cortex A8 core and on-chip PowerVR 2D graphics accelerator, ensures that graphics-intensive Silverlight 2.0 or 3.0 (Compact 7) applications run efficiently and with minimal impact on CPU utilisation.

The community focused Hawkboard, based on the ARM9 OMAP-L138/AM1808 processor from TI, now features Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 support. The new low-cost BSP from MPC Data now enables developers to build Windows Embedded CE products based on the Hawkboard open hardware platform.
